The Area
Mount 7 Lodges sits on over 60 private acres less than 7 km south of Golden, BC and less than 20 km from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
Located in the heart of Kicking Horse Country, we are flanked to the west by the Purcell Mountain Range and to the East by the Canadian Rockies.
We are surrounded by six national mountain parks – Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke.
Golden sits at the confluence of the Kicking Horse River and the Columbia River. Winters see a host of enthusiasts who come to ski at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, and to take advantage of endless snowmobiling in the backcountry. Summers are populated by mountain bikers, hikers, paragliders, white-water rafters, and golfers.
We are within a short drive of popular attractions including Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, Moraine Lake and Takakkaw Falls.
With an ideal climate of long hot summers and champagne powder filled winters, Golden is an ideal destination in Canada for outdoor activities and recreation.
Mount 7 Lodges are proud to offer a hiking trail from the property. If you’re looking for something to fill a couple hours, we recommend this trail. There are many lookout spots along the trail with stunning views of the Columbia Valley.
Food & Dining
The lodges have spacious and fully equipped kitchens including oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and many small appliances. Each lodge has a dining area with wonderful views over the Columbia Valley and Purcell Mountains to the west. All lodges feature a premium gas grill/barbeque on the private deck.
There are two large grocery stores in town, and an organic produce store.
For those who don’t wish to cook every night, Golden and Kicking Horse offer a range of options from fast food to fine dining.
