Mount 7 Lodges is run by Dave & Jo-Anne Best – a husband and wife team dedicated to making your stay with us a memorable one for all the right reasons!
Originally from the UK, we first came to Golden the year that Kicking Horse Mountain Resort opened. We fell in love with the town and all that it has to offer – a fantastic location offering all of the outdoor activities that we enjoy coupled with wonderful people and a real community spirit.
Spring, summer and fall find Jo-Anne horseback riding. Both of us regularly take to the backcountry for hiking trips while Dave spends his spare time trying to reduce his handicap at Golden Golf Club.
In winter we both enjoy skiing and snowboarding, x-country skiing and snowmobiling.
We are involved in your booking from your first inquiry through to your stay here, and we personally ensure we deliver on all our promises. We offer an attentive while unobtrusive service and we look forward to welcoming you to Mount 7 Lodges as do our guest friendly dog and horses: Loxley, Felix and Whittaker!
Why Are We Called Mount 7 Lodges?
Mount 7 Lodges is named after Mount 7, the common name for the 6,372 ft tall mountain we sit below. Formally named Beaverhead Peak, in mid-June to late July, the snow at the top of the mountain melts leaving a near perfect “7” in the snow.
As the location of the famous Psychosis downhill bike race, and the annual pilgrimage to ski and snowboard the ‘7’, Mount 7 offers a wide range of outdoor activities for you to enjoy. As a prime destination for biking, hiking, paragliding (and tandem paragliding), hang-gliding and sightseeing, Mount 7 and our Lodges are the perfect launch site for you to explore the area.
