Itinerary Suggestion – Winter Adrenaline
Golden is renowned for it’s action sports and adrenaline inducing activities. For those people who want to experience a full on Golden winter adventure, please check out the options below. These are “do it yourself” ideas to help our guests know about the various activities and options for what to do, in and around Golden. We do have some “packages” which include your lodge and the most popular activities where we coordinate with the activity providers and book everything on your behalf. Choose A Lodge At Mount 7 Lodges
Depending on the size of your group, choose one (or more) of our lodges. From the two bedroom Deer Lodge which is suitable for two to four people, up to our large four bedroom Eagle Lodge which can sleep eight people we have a lodge to suit your group.
All lodges are self catering, with fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, and your own private hot tub to ensure you can relax in comfort.
Once you have chosen your lodge and know how many days you’re staying in Golden, you can choose from one or more of the following activities. Be warned that once you start considering how many great activities are on offer, you may want to extend your stay!!
Skiing & Snowboarding
Located a short drive from Mount 7 Lodges, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is the perfect location for keen skiers and snowboarders. Known as the champagne powder capital, this is the place to be for chasing epic powder whether you ski or board.
For those staying at Mount 7 Lodges for a longer vacation and wanting to a day trip or multi centre vacation you can check out the neighbouring resorts of Lake Louise, Sunshine in Banff, Revelstoke, Panorama, Kimberley or Fernie.
If in-bounds skiing isn’t enough, the Golden area offers some of the best backcountry skiing you could wish for. For those with the skills and experience, the “slack-country” is a short hike from the top of the ski resort boundary offering pristine powder for those with the desire to explore the big alpine lines. Roger’s Pass and it’s renowned back country terrain is only an hour’s drive west of Golden.

Golden is renowned for its snowmobiling due to the wide range of riding terrain available, the deep snowfalls of champagne powder, and the spectacular scenery. Bring your own sleds or book a mountain tour with the local snowmobile tour operator.
For those guests bringing their own sleds, there is plenty of parking at Mount 7 Lodges.
Many people dream of the untouched powder and sheer thrill of heli-skiing or snowboarding. Vast virgin slopes of fresh powder, no lift lines, and a professional guide make for a perfect vacation.
